The carousel does what you would expect any carousel to do. Horses do up and down while the whole thing rotates. Making it not the kind of thing you expect to see in the middle of a thrill seekers park.
However what really makes Chief Rangers Carousel great is its unique design. Instead of just a load of horses that go up and down, when it was made all of Thorpe Park's top rides were incorporated into the design. Now over a decade on half of these rides have since disappeared from Thorpe so the carousel is more a trip through Thorpe Parks history, featuring the old Thunder River rapids boats, a Tropical Travels boat, the Flying Fish train among many more.
