This is a ride that has existed throughout most of Thorpe history. Origionaly opening in 1983 it operated under the name of space station zero and was located indoors in the dark. Then in 1990 it became the Flying Fish for the fist time with its train themed as a green fish and flower beds / water features located in the centre of the ride complete with fish hovering above a fountain.
In 2004 the ride was closed along with Model World to make way for the contraction of Stealth the new signature ride due to open in 2007. This was sad for very many people who remembered riding the fish when they were small and despite being a children's coaster the ride could get up some good speed around its small corners.
However 2005 saw the announcement that the next year the fish would return to the park in an all new Gold colour scheme so now its back in a new location with a new lease of life.
