Slammer is the first of Thorpe Park's new rides for 2005. Made by manufacturers S&S which were originally famous for there tower rides this ride takes you to heights of around 100ft (That's about the same height as Colossus!) Not only does it take you that high but it also brings you falling back down head first before flying over the ground and back to the top again as the ride goes through its circular motion.
What really makes the ride special though is its restraints. Unique to S&S's rides there restrains system gives a very open feeling as it consists of a bar that goes across your lap and restrains over your shoulders keeping you save while not being uncomfortable like normal over the head restraint
