HISTORY

In 2005 the construction of Rush, one of Thorpe Park's 2005 thrill ride additions begun. This is a full coverage of the ride being built from the ground being cleared right through to the ride becoming operational.

23rd March 2005

The site a been fenced off which features an advert for the ride saying that it is to open in June. Through the fence we can see that the concrete base and footers are in place.

17th April 2005

The two supports for the ride have been put up along with the two tanks that will hold the compressed air to power the ride. Queue line fencing has been put up around the ride as well.

11th May 2005

The top of the ride has now been put on along with the arms that support the seats. When the ride is in operation these arm's will swing back and forth (like a big swing) giving immense amounts of airtime at the top of each swing. Fencing has also been finished off and the ride now has a sign out the front.

Completion

The electronics of the ride are now complete and it is open to the public. Although a much shorted ride time than people were expecting Rush takes its place as one of the top thrill rides in the park.
