THORPE PARK INSIDER

So this is a Ferris Wheel, you sit in it, it goes round, get some nice views, that's about it................ok so you could tell all that just from the picture, I'll write a bit more.

Eclipse was built in 2003 opening slightly later than the other rides in 2003 but 2003 nevertheless. In its day it was the only ride in Lost City that wasn't a thrill ride. It's location like most of the rides in Lost City was well placed to make the view of Thorpe Park that much better. The ride gave some great views from up above of the park and Thorpe Park is a great park to see from above as there is so much there in such a small space without seeming cramped.

History

Due to the ride not being very popular, (and lets face it Thorpe is for thrill seeking teenagers these days so it never was going to be) at the end of 2004 after only 2 seasons of operation, it was dismantled and taken down the road to Chessington World of Adventures where it now gets lots and lots of visitors every day.
